  • Started with Jerry Lawler in the USWA as the Soultaker, based on one of his many tattoos
  • Won the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship on October 23, 1989 and held it for about two weeks

  • He was thrust into the spotlight at WM 8 where he interfered in the Hogan/Sid Vicious match
  • The character was voted worst gimmick and most embarrassing wrestler by the wrestling observer in 1992
  • He was sent down to USWA in 1993 after a few disappointing matches including a Heavyweight title shot against Bret Hart on Saturday Night’s Main Event,
  • he won the Unified World Heavyweight Championship for a second time. Winning the title actually upset him, as he felt it was only done to sell to the predominantly black crowd
  • He would drop the belt to Owen Hart after the complaint and be released.
  • After some time in the idies, he would return to the WWE as Kama “The Supreme Fighting Machine” where he would join the Million Dollar Corporation.
  • He disappeared from TV after the Royal Rumble in 1996 and again left the company
  • He was contact by WCW to become the enforcer for now and verbally agreed. He found out he did not get the gig when watching Nitro only to see Virgil as the enforcer.
  • He would once again return to the WWE ring in 1997 as Kama Mustafa, the first member of the Nation of Domination
  • Mustafa became known as “The Godfather” of the Nation of Domination,
  • In 1998 he finally became known strictly as The Godfather, debuting his “hoes” on July 27 in a tag match with fellow nation member Mark Henry against the Legion of Doom
  • After the Nation broke up, The Godfather had his best run with the WWE. He would go to the ring with his hoes, some of which would become great wrestlers in their own right including Victoria and Lita.
  • He defeated Goldust to win the Intercontinental Championship on April 12, 1999 on Raw
  • He was the scheduled opponent to face Owen Hart at Over the Edge when Owen was killed during a failed stunt before the mach.
  • He would lose the title a week later to Jeff Jarret.
  • On the March 16, 1999 episode of Smackdown her would defeat WWE Champion HHH due to interreference from Shane McMahon and The Big show
  • On July 24 1999 he would join the Right to Censor faction after losing a match to Bull Buchanan in a stipulation match
  • He would lose the girls and take on the name The Goodfather
  • Goodfather and Buchanan won the WWF Tag Team Championship from the Hardy Boyz on the November 6 episode of Raw
  • They lost the titles to Edge and Christian at Armageddon in a fatal-four way tag team match also involving K-Kwik and Road Dogg and the Dudleys
  • Right to Censor lost to the Brothers of Destruction on a 4-on-2 handicap match, after all other members walked out on Steven Richards mid-match
  • The Godfather, under his old gimmick and with his “ho’s”, returned at the 2002 Royal Rumble competing in the Rumble match
  • He interrupted the “wedding” of Billy and Chuck on the September 12 episode of SmackDown!, which helped lead the tag team into admitting that the entire gay marriage was a sham and just an attempt to get media attention. Wright was released from the WWE in December 2002 and briefly retired from professional wrestling.
  • He has had sporadic appearances on WWE TV since his semi-retirement. He has broken or tried to break up the engagements or weddings of both Lillian Garcia and Viscera as well as Teddy Long and Kristal Marshall
  • He has been wrestling on the indy circuit on and off as the Pimp Fatha and Papa Shango since leaving the WWE.
  • He is also the manager of Cheetah’s strip club in Vegas
  • He was inducted into the WWE HOT in 2016 as the Godfather
